Bucks County is a county located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of 2000, the population was 597,635. A 2004 U.S. Census estimate placed the population at 621,342, making it the fourth most populous county in Pennsylvania, after Philadelphia County, Allegheny County, and Montgomery County. The county seat is Doylestown6. The suburban county is one of the five core counties in Pennsylvania that make up the Delaware Valley, or Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area.
